CRUELTY-FREE + VEGAN STANCE
Is Black Moon Cosmetics Cruelty-Free?
Yes! We are certified Cruelty-Free & Vegan by Leaping Bunny & PETA!
Do you or a third party test your final products or ingredients on animals?
Absolutely NOT. We love our animal friends!
Are you marketed in any countries that test on animals?
No, we are not.
Are your products vegan?
Yes, they absolutely are!
SHIPPING
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do! To check if we ship to your country, please proceed to checkout and choose your country from the drop down in the shipping address field.
How much is shipping outside of the United States?
Shipping rates will vary. To check the exact shipping rate for your delivery, simply proceed to checkout with the items you'd like to purchase and enter your shipping address (no billing details required). We offer $10 USD (or equivalent) flat rate discounted shipping anywhere outside of the U.S. if you spend $100 USD or more on your order (before shipping)!
Which courier/shipping service is used for international deliveries?
We use a partner shipping program through Global Post which utilizes USPS's shipping services up until your package reaches customs. Once your package clears customs and departs the U.S., it is then delivered by your local postal agency such as Royal Mail, Canada Post, etc. If you've purchased Priority Express shipping, then it will likely be delivered by DHL. If you have any questions regarding your tracking, our customer service team is here to help! Simply summon us via email by replying to any of your confirmation emails!
Is tracking available for international packages?
Tracking outside of the U.S. is typically available. If you find that the tracking stopped updating on USPS's website, you may use the same tracking number on your local postal agency's website to track your parcel (if they are scanning the package along the way after customs). Alternatively, you may also visit here and enter your tracking number. You'll see at the top there is a "final mile tracking", simply click on that and it will direct you to your tracking information. You may be prompted to enter the tracking number again, please do so and hit enter.
How long does international delivery take?
International deliveries via First Class Shipping could take anywhere from 2-6 weeks. In rare cases, it may take 8 weeks due to severe weather conditions or limited cargo flights to your country. We kindly ask to allow up to 8 weeks for any delivery just in case there were unexpected delays due to the aforementioned reasons. If you need your order lightning quick (we totally get it), we would recommend choosing Priority Express at checkout for much quicker delivery.
My tracking information is showing "Confirmed". Why hasn't it moved?
It takes a little time for tracking information to be updated. Please allow at least 24 hours for your tracking information to display correctly. Please note that our processing time is typically 1-2 business days or 3-5 business days for restocks and new launches.
I paid extra for fast shipping (USPS Priority Mail), why isn't it out yet?
We currently do not offer a rush option for processing and we have a standard processing time of 1-2 business days (or 3-5 during restocks and launches). The shipping option chosen at checkout is directly related to how long the post office handles your package. Please feel free to visit our Shipping Policies page for detailed delivery and processing times.
How long does it take to ship my order?
Our typical ship time is 1-2 business days or 3-5 business days during sales and launches, excluding weekends and holidays.

What is your return policy?

Can I return an item if I've already tried it?
Yes, as long as the item is not significantly used and qualifies as a return. For more information on which items qualify for a refund, please visit this link.
Why was I charged twice for an order?
Please rest assured that unless you've received more than one order confirmation email from us, you have only been charged once for your order. Sometimes, Shop Pay will place two separate holds due to the tax rate updating after your order was submitted. Only one charge will be authorized by your bank and the second will drop off your billing statement within 3 business days or less. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your transaction, please don't hesitate to email us directly by replying to your order confirmation email and we are happy to assist!
Does Black Moon Cosmetics offer PRO Discounts or Memberships?
We do not offer any PRO Discounts or memberships at this time. The only membership we offer is our Moon Beauty Rewards Program which is 100% Free!
I am a Beauty Blogger, is Black Moon Cosmetics doing any collaborations or affiliate codes?

RESTOCKS + INVENTORY
A lot of my favorite shades have been sold out for sometime now. Why is this and when are they returning?
We've been working closely with our manufacturer and have successfully sourced any and all outstanding ingredients. We are restocking our entire range of products throughout 2024 with a lot of added newness. We highly recommend that if you see your favorite shade in stock to grab it as we are continuously selling out in between restocks which we are incredibly grateful for ๐
My favorite shades are no longer on the site, where did they go?
Not to worry! To provide a more hassle-free and convenient shopping experience, we have temporarily removed some of our out-of-stock items from our site. We will add them back to our site as they are restocked throughout this year! Thank you so much for your kind understanding and continued patience while we work closely with our Los Angeles manufacturers to restock your tried and true faves!

Are your liquid lipsticks smudge-proof?
They are not completely smudge-proof but are quite transfer proof once fully dried down without compromising their extremely comfortable and lightweight wear!
What sets your liquid lipsticks apart from others?
Since our inception in 2015, we've been known for having one of the most, if not the most, comfortable liquid to matte lipstick on the market. Our formula is made to be extremely lightweight while still packing a pigmented punch. One layer is all you need and you'll forget it's even on! We've found the perfect sweet spot between comfortability, pigmentation, and long-wear and we just know we'll steal your heart ๐ค๐
Where are your products manufactured?
Our products are formulated, manufactured, and filled here in Los Angeles, California at our contracted and state licensed cosmetic manufacturing facility.
Do you make and create your own formulas?
Yes, we do! All our formulas and colors are custom and created entirely from scratch with the help of a certified Cosmetic Chemist. They are also made and filled in a state licensed cosmetic manufacturing facility in Los Angeles, CA using top quality and ethically sourced ingredients. Since our inception, we've never private labeled any of our products and have spent a lot of time and resources to bring unique color cosmetics directly to you. This means that from our formulas down to each unique shade in our collection, each item is 100% unique to Black Moon and you won't find them anywhere else other than Black Moon Cosmetics (and through our authorized retailers). We pride ourselves on our formulas and unique shade range and go above and beyond to give you the best quality product at competitive prices. Rest assured that transparency is a top priority for us and we want you to feel 100% confident when shopping with Black Moon.
How long does it take for your liquid lipsticks to dry down?
It can take up to 90 seconds for our liquid lipsticks to fully dry down. As your lipstick is drying down, we recommend not to press your lips together and leave it undisturbed while it fully dries down. If you do press them together, don't worry, it will just take a tiny bit longer to fully dry. Should you need to fix any areas after it's dried, simply touch up in areas as needed and allow it to dry. Our formula is a breeze to work with and very user friendly!
Can I reapply your lipsticks throughout the day if I need to?
Yes! Our formula was made to not crumble, crack, or feel icky if you need to reapply. If you've just eaten and there is any oily residue on your lips, simply dab it off with a clean napkin and reapply one layer of your lipstick to areas as needed.
Are your Sinister Satin bullet lipsticks transfer proof?
Universally, bullet lipstick formulas cannot be made transfer proof since they all have a wax base. With that being said, however, our formula is unique in that it was made to last longer on your lips and not slip and slide off like other formulas on the market. They are extremely pigmented as well so the color will stay put and not bleed or feather as the day passes. Like our liquid lipsticks, our Sinister Satin formula is super comfortable and your lips will feel nice and moisturized throughout the day!
Can we use your Cosmic EyeDustsโข as lip toppers?
Absolutely! In fact, we highly recommend it over Sleepwalker or Purgatory!
Do you have any samples?
Due to the nature of our products, we do not have any samples available.
Where is your mica mined?
Our mica is synthetic as it is free of impurities, ethical, and sustainable.
REWARDS SYSTEM
I've had an account for a while, why are my points not showing up?
Points cannot be backdated prior to the launch of the rewards system which was in mid-October 2020.
Can my previous purchases be added to my points?
Purchases made on or after mid-October 2020 will begin accumulating rewards points for every $1 USD spent. Points cannot be backdated before then.
How do I redeem my points?
Once you reach a reward tier, you can navigate to the rewards page while signed in and choose the tier that applies to your rewards balance or the desired balance you'd like to redeem. Upon confirmation, you will be emailed a unique code to use on your next purchase with us. If you don't see the email within 10 minutes, please check your spam or promotions folder just in case. This one-time, unique code can be entered at checkout and you must be logged into your account to redeem as each code is unique to the account.
I forgot to use my points on my purchase, can you apply the discount to my order?
Unfortunately, we are unable to manually apply any discounts to your order. Each code is unique to their respective account and must be entered at checkout by the rewards holder while logged into their account.
How do I enter my birthday?
When logged in, you could add your birthday by clicking on the REWARDS tab in the navigation menu, scroll to the "Happy Birthday" block and click on that. If your birthday has not been added previously, you will receive a popup that will allow you to enter your birthday information. Once you select your birth month and day, click on the "Wish me a Happy Birthday" and you're all set!
Do my points expire?
Your rewards points do not expire.
Can I transfer my rewards points to another account?
Rewards points cannot be transferred as they are unique to your account.
